STEP 1. Read the following:
Congratulations! You have reached the last part of our unit study in Algebra. By now you should be proficient at solving a wide variety of equations, writing down the steps to finding a correct solution, and applying algebra-solving skills to word problems.
Our last task is to evaluate how well you use these new skills.
STEP 2. Write the practice test. Do it on your own: i.e. without any help from others, no course notes, no textbooks, no online assistance. Feel free to use a calculator, and take as much time as you need. Submit your completed practice test to me. I'll mark it and return it to you a.s.a.p. These results won't affect your grade. Rather it's a low-stress opportunity to try out your algebra skills one more time, check out the test format--the real test will look similar--and practice your test taking skills. I will mark your practice quiz with the test rubric. I encourage you to review the rubric before you try the practice test. It explains exactly what you need to do to be successful.

STEP 3. When you get your marked practice test back, carefully review your work, my feedback, and how you performed on the rubric. These results will help you decide whether you need more review or are ready to write the actual test. If you need it, take opportunity to hone your algebra skills by reviewing lessons 1 to 5.
STEP 4. Now you're ready to write the Unit Test. Good luck!
